Noah & Tyler's Bday Party at LEGOLAND!!!

For Noah and Tyler's birthday this year, my sister snagged a date at Legoland before they even opened. I was so excited to check this place out and if the party hadn't been during Lily's nap time we would have stayed longer and seen the rest of the stuff there. But the kids still had a BLAST and didn't even know they were missing the princess palace, race car tracks, or movies. We will definitely have to come back during the week before school is out (for other mommies out there, you definitely want daddy or another adult with you if you have several kids, so easy to loose those suckers :-).  They also have this AWESOME play land in the middle (hamster cage :-).  There is only one way in or out and it's guarded by an employee, she doesn't let any child out without their parent standing right there.  My kids loved it, greatness!
We LOVE our cousin Noah!!
(a picture of the party room for anyone interested)
My two crazies couldn't wait to start the fun.
Miss Lily being goofy and lovin' Miss Hannah.

After cake and presents, it was time to tour the Factory. A very animated scientists took us in to the factory to watch how they made legos. After the short tour, everyone got a special lego as a fun keepsake. There was SO much to see at the place. Legos are EVERYWHERE!

After the factory it was time for an interactive ride. We jumped into the cars and were taken on a fun adventure. Every player had a laser gun, the goal, shoot all the moving targets/bad guys to protect the egg at the end. The kids had a blast shooting everything, lol.

After the ride, we "toured" the Dallas area. This was so cool. They had built replicas of all the major highlights around DFW. And several things were "working". You could push a button to run the train, steer the crane, even run the running back and score a touchdown in Texas Stadium!

(in such awe :-)

Spring Fling

I LOVE the parties my mom's groups puts together and the Spring Fling is no exception. We had SO much fun and even a few firsts - a picture with the Easter Bunny! Can you believe we have never had Easter Bunny pictures?? Okay, just one of my kids would get near him, but still. The twins also road ponies for the first time. They've had several opportunites before, but never actually road a horse for one reason or another.

Picking out the poinies they wanted to ride.  Abby picked out the "rainbow" pony but it was very popular and so she had to ride another pony.

Pure happiness

My only pic of all three and Abby is scouting something out on Jake's cheek, lol.

Lily was so easy to get pics of, she was slow, and there was only one.  The twins however, raced in opposite directions to get eggs, therefore, I have one shot of Abby and none of Jake.

Jake and Lily hit the playground while Abby spend time in the petting zoo.

Our Easter Bunny picture!  Jake was the only brave one.  Lily looked at that thing like he was crazy.  Abby simply wanted to go to the petting zoo.

My FIRST Bluebonnet Experience

Okay - so I never rushed out and did bluebonnet pics with the twins because most fields are near highways and with my duo, that makes for a VERY bad combination. However, this year I decided to give it a shot with Lily since she's less curious, stays closer to me, and isn't a runner. However, since she turned 2, she has had major attitude. And well, it was showing today when we tried to get a few shots. In every picture, she was telling me "No" and wouldn't really even get in the bluebonnets, let alone sit down. Oh well, maybe we'll try again next year :-).
Running away - and what is it with my kids and STICKS!
After asking her to sit in the flowers, her simple reply "No Mommy, I'm not going to do it!"
My Sweetie

The ONLY picture with her looking at the camera, we were walking back to the truck and she was showing me her stick.

Jake's School Program

Jake didn't have a Christmas program at school, but instead a PTA program in March.  Unfortunately it was immediately following a school carnival so he had to perform after a nutritious Cheetos & chocolate cupcake dinner.  It was a little rough starting out but he got in his groove by the second song and did fantastic.  He had such a blast up on that stage.
Jake and some of his friends before the show - Aria, Jake & Khent
Not thrilled about waiting for the show to begin.  But loved the performance once it started.

Taking our places.

Getting a little bored.  Once he got on the stage he actually broke his star wand and had to get his teacher to fix it before the song started.

As I said, rough start.  He ended up pushing (on accident) the kid in front of him which fell and created a domino effect.  Two other kids fell and got hugs from the teacher.  He was so embarrassed and started to cry.  Nothing a little hug couldn't fix though.
Having such fun doing his songs.  The performance was about 15 minutes and so cute.  He was VERY proud afterwards.
