Trying out my new camera

When our new camera arrived, I immediately took it out of the box and tried it out. The kids were more than happy to be test subjects in the backyard. Pretty good for not reading the manual yet :-).
My baby girl is getting so big.
Such a handsome fella.
Awe - so big, and serious (its REALLY tough to get this girl to smile on camera).
A little action. Lily was not happy she couldn't jump like Abby and Jake.

The Pics are here!

YAY!!! I can finally retreive all our pictures from our new camera! We spent the month of October without a camera but I have pics from November and December to upload. I'll try to spread it out :-). Enjoy!

Back up and running soon

Well, it's been a month since my camera met it's frightful fate (Jake dropped it on our tile floor as we were heading out to the pumpkin patch), and I'm happy to say we finally picked out a replacement camera. We are stepping it up to a SLR and John even surprised me with the next model up from what we had picked out. Yippee! The newbie should be here Friday and so I'm hoping to figure it out a bit this weekend, at least enough to start taking pictures again. I can't believe I have no pumpkin patch or halloween pictures this year!

Lily's First Haircut

I didn't want to cut Lily's bangs, but she is not leaving clips in her hair to keep them out of her face and she rubs her eyes constantly because they are in her face. So, I broke down and took her in for a bang cut.
She's been several times before for Jake and Abby's cuts so she knew exactly what to do and climbed in to the chair immediately.
But she was less than thrilled when they squirted her hair with water.
Fun with the cape.
Tada! She loves that she can see and I love that if I put clips in her hair and she pulls them out she can still see, but I'm not a fan of the bangs. She has a face that would be better with no bangs (unlike Abby who needs bangs I think :-). Hopefully we can eventually let them grow out.

Sittin with the big boys

Lily has ditched her highchair already. The twins were almost 2 when we got rid of theirs, but Lily wants to be just like big brother and sister and has been refusing to sit in her highchair for a few weeks now (screaming, throwing food, etc. when you place her in it). So, I finally caved and bought her a Kaboost of her own. I still think this is the coolest thing ever. We are going through the teaching phase of sitting vs. standing in chairs and not climbing on the table, but with only one around she's not as nearly persistent as the twins. Thank goodness! Hopefully her phase won't last as long or be as painful :-).
Oh so proud of her self
Random shot of daddy and Lily. She loves to get in front of the camera and say cheese now. Only she walks towards the camera as she says cheese so you better snap fast or you will have a nose shot.

Momma's Getting a Job

The kids are getting older and getting more involved in stuff. John and I still want me to stay home with them, but would love a secondary income to help pay for their school and the many activities I'm sure they will want to do over the years. Lily is still pretty little so I needed to find something that I could do with her by my side. My mom has used Tupperware forever and I made my first purchase when the twins were born (a quick shake container to help make their bottles). I fell in love with the brand. I finally decided to try my hand at selling Tupperware to see if I could make a little extra money while having some fun. My website is:
http://my2.tupperware.com/wthornell

Be sure to check it out and let me know if you need anything (or you can order straight from the website). There are really cool hostess gifts too if you'd like to earn some free product for yourself by hosting a party (you can even host an online party). And yes my dear family and friends, you will be invited to a Tupperware party. I'm hosting my first party at my house Friday evening, Sept. 17th at 6:30 where we will enjoy Fajita Chicken, Homemade Salsa and some fun time together. I may even try to get some margaritas on the rocks going. I really hope everyone can come. I'll follow-up with more details soon.
