Abby's School Program

This year Abby's class participated in PMLC's KDO Christmas Program. The kids don't start doing this until 3 - really any younger and you'd have kids all over the stage. We were so excited and decided to leave the other two siblings at home with a sitter so the night could be all about Abby (plus Jake said he didn't want to go and I knew Lily would just want to be on stage with Abby :-).

The program was called "Oh Bethlehem", yes she goes to a church preschool :-), you won't see this program in any public school, lol. They sang 4 songs, had a few group speaking parts and lots of fun. The music teacher read the narration and the whole thing lasted about 20 minutes. Perfect time for 3 and 4 year olds.

At first, Abby (and many other kids) got a little stage fright and stared into the audience, but by the middle of the first song she was really into it. By the last song however, she started looking around and everyone and everything. Four songs was just perfect.

After the program, they lead the kids out by class to the big Christmas tree for class pictures. Fabulous idea! We got some great shots of Abby and her best friend Landry as well as her whole class.

Jake gets his turn in March. His class is doing a skit of some sort for the PTA that month. Not sure how he will do since he's already said he doesn't want to do it. Hmmm. He is SO like his cousin Noah.

Santa Pic

I was shooting for two santa pics this year, but that didn't happen. We got one and only one and even that only happened because I let the girls sit on my lap vs. Santa. So, we have a "not so thrilled" family pic with Santa this year. Oh well. One of these days, I'll do a collage of all the santa pics and give it to the kids.

Decking the Halls

The weekend of Thanksgiving we got the lights on the house, the decorations up and the tree out. We have never been on top of it that much! The kids are really getting into holidays now and had a blast decorating the tree and watching dad hang the lights on the roof. Every night before bath time, we go outside and look at our lights. The kids are so excited by them and love looking at them in the dark.

The kids prefered the "cluster" method.

Abby was so proud of the finished tree. They all had a blast and it only took about 30 minutes with all the little helpers. Of course after they went to bed that night, I had to "decluster" some of the ornaments.

Thanksgiving with the Cousins

We had Thanksgiving in Stephenville this year and of course I didn't get any pics of the meal, but did get some great shots of all the cousins.

Trying out my new camera

When our new camera arrived, I immediately took it out of the box and tried it out. The kids were more than happy to be test subjects in the backyard. Pretty good for not reading the manual yet :-).
